Freddie Brown
Agency Partner , Channel 4
Freddie entered the industry at 18 through a MediaCom apprenticeship, bringing no contacts but a strong instinct for people, performance and partnership. That foundation continues to shape how I deliver commercial impact and contribute to culture at Channel 4.
Culturally, he's focused on creating genuine belonging. As a previous Co-Chair of The Shed, she led male mental health initiatives alongside other ERGs to help normalise open, vulnerable conversations, and helped initiate 4Runners and contribute to it as a cross-company community promoting connection and wellbeing.
Commercially, he delivered the partnerships agency side that elevate brands and now my role is about driving Channel 4’s commercial reputation and growth. This includes helping unlock eBay’s first award-winning Love Island partnership, delivering two series of Changing Rooms with Dulux, and working on the People’s Postcode Lottery’s first cross-broadcaster campaign. More recently, I led Channel 4’s post-9pm McDonald’s response, uniting teams across specialisms to deliver a solution that contributed to a trading deal that worked for both brand and broadcaster.
Over the next five years, he wants to champion partnership excellence, continue to support early career talent, expand outreach into communities, and be a trusted voice shaping TV’s future. His goal is to help build an open, community rooted media landscape that is accessible to all, regardless of their route into this weird and wonderful industry.
“Every now and then you meet one of life’s gems. And Freddie is one of them. From his energy and commitment to ‘the work’, ensuring we show up in partnership to our clients as our very best; to supporting us with initiatives such as The Open Network to help others and their personal growth; it really is a pleasure to have Freddie as a member of our extended OMD family, always bringing energy, positivity and curiosity. We are lucky to have Freddie in our industry, and I can’t wait to see what he achieves next!” - Suzy Ryder - Chief Executive Officer at OMD UK
