Michael Holloway

SEO Manager , Hookflash

Michael founded and chairs the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion pillar, now evolved into a broader Culture pillar that incorporates mental and physical wellbeing alongside DEI. What began as a concept is now a fully embedded, committee-led initiative driving tangible change. Key achievements include the introduction of charity volunteering days, with the first volunteering project delivered in July 2025 to regenerate a London playground. Michael has also embedded education-led initiatives tied to major cultural moments, including a company visit to the Museum of Brands’ “Women in Advertising” exhibition for International Women’s Day and a visit to the Docklands Museum exploring London’s role in the transatlantic slave trade for Black History Month. This work strengthens internal culture and inclusivity while also enhancing client service, enabling teams to engage with clients’ cultural moments with greater awareness and relevance.

Alongside cultural leadership, Michael has delivered significant commercial impact through innovation. He led the development of proprietary technology, including a Reddit crawler and an E-E-A-T GPT tool, which became key pitch differentiators and directly contributed to winning new business such as Hayu and Love Business (confidential). These tools also support industry-leading delivery for existing clients and have underpinned case studies and award nominations for organisations including Great Ormond Street Hospital, Escape Hunt and Ooni.

Michael also played a central role in enabling 400% team growth, scaling the team from two to ten people in 12 months. This included building internal systems, expanding the client portfolio, and creating structured training programmes to ensure new joiners could succeed. Looking ahead, Michael’s ambition is to progress into a Strategic Director role, leading innovation as search evolves with AI, while continuing to champion culture, DEI and wellbeing as a core part of Hookflash’s identity.
